Over the years I have occasionally had problems with my garage door opening when it's not supposed to. After moving in 6 years ago, I had to reprogram it several times to get a code that kept it down--most of the time. It will not do this for months at a time, then I get it happening several times in a week. This is a Stanley opener installed about 1988 or 89. Any suggestions about controlling this--other than getting a new opener? Also, I lost the manual for it--I couldn't find garage doors at [url]www.stanleyworks.com.[/url] Is there some other website or address where I could get one? Thanks for any help.

I plan on insulating this two car garage I just acquired, but not sure what is best type to use. Eventually, I will install a furnace to heat it in the cold months. right now, it has torn up fiberglass roll-type insulation (R-11) in it. I plan to leave up the pieces that arent torn up, (BTW, does it matter if the brown paper backing is torn off and just the fuzzy stuff is showing?). should I replace with same type, or go with bats? I want to do this as cheaply as possible, yet maintaine R-11 if possible. Menards has insulation on sale... 15" wide by 40' long roll for $8.99 each. Please advise as to best way to go with insulating. This will remain a garage. I may install drywall next summer, not sure yet. Thanks
