Question Repairing front edge of garage floor

The front edge of my concrete garage floor has cracked and spalled. The garage doors will not seal now firmly to the floor, and if I install new garage doors then I would have to set them back three inches to have a good seal to the floor. What is the best way to repair this that an average homeowner could do? It would be nice if the home centers had an "L" shaped hard rubber material that could be placed over the front edge to cover the cracking and a car could just drive over it with no problems.

Richard904,

Have you considered renting a concrete saw and cut out the bad area of the floor, to ensure that you have no further problems? It might be just better to repour this section? This may mean a little work but it can be a DIY project. There really is no easy fix but this would be less costly and be most appropriate for your conditions.

Hope this helps!
