Dear Bob F., I read you reply and here are the answers to your questions concerning my cold weather problem:
1. This problems happens both in the morning and evening.
2. To reset the transmitter I hold down the button on the transmitter, bring it close to the opener, and then press a button on the opener, which reads the codes electronically.
3. I don't know if it changes codes after each use, the unit was installed when I bought the house.
4. We have two transmitters and both don't work when this problem occurs.
5. I do have an outside keypad which still works when the transmitters don't.

Ken:
I replied to your last inquiry but signed on as You Can Do IT. Sorry about that. It almost seems as though your mounted pad works and your transmitters do not. Maybe the problem is in your transmitters.
How long have you owned the home ?
