I have a ghost in my garage!!!
#1
It took me 6 months to determine why my garage door opener was't working. When I left a car in the garage that has a security system in it, the door would not open using the remote. I then parked that car in the driveway and found that I had to back it in or else the remote would act erratically. Is there an explanation for this?

I believe that the problem lies with the security system in your car. Both your security system and your opener run off a radio type wave. Your car security system is the stronger system, and over lays the waves from your opener. That is why when you drive in forward, your door will not work. But when you back in it does. You might try this. On the back of your opener is a flimsy little thin wire hanging down. About 12" long. This is the antenna for your opener. Try tying it up or proping it up. This may fix your problem. Good Luck
