Craftsman Garage Door Opener Mystery

I have an old Craftsman Garage Door Opener. It is probably 15 years old. The plastic drive gear wears out about once every 6 years so I replace it. This year I replaced the drive gear and the worm gear. The door will only move about 3 feet. It doesn't seem to matter how I adjust the force or distance. Even if I unattach the door, the device on the track will only go about 3 feet and then return. I recently greased the track. Do you have any suggestions?

Bluehen:
If your opener is 15 years old, it has out lived its 7 year life. My best suggestion
is to replace it with a new one. They are not expensive. Your opener is just wore out.
