I have a 1 car garage which Im expanding into a 2 car. I also want to put a heater in it. What would be the best type of heat for it (gas or elect.).. The garage will have a workshop.. Thanks for your help!!!

A gas heater wpuld be the least expensive, however, unless your garage is entirely insulated, you are wasting your money.

Trusses and gables on a garage

I've put up my walls and trusses and plywood on the roof.Before I move forward I'm told to run a string (with 2 nails) from the top of the gable to the bottom of the truss to align it. I don't have the foggiest idea what that's all about. Couldn't I just use an 8 foot level and make sure each stud on the gable is level? Help!Read More

Garage Door Insulation

I'm about to move into a new home. My garage door is made out of aluminum and has no insulation at all. Is there something that you can reccomend to apply to the interior of the garage door to insulate it from the cold and heat. I'm looking for something easy to apply that will stay in place once it's up and not interfere with the operation of the garage door opener. Thanks in advance for your help.Read More
