Pole Barn truss spacing

Pole Barn truss spacing
I did a search and it sounds like the truss spacing should be eight foot on center. I'm building a 24x24 pole barn with a roof pitch of 4 in 12. Is this spacing correct? I am going to put a metal roof on it. What do I use for perloins? Thanks for the help.

Yes, usually your poles are 8' also, and your trusses bolt to your poles. When you order your trusses, make sure you order pole barn trusses. You will use 2x6's for the perlions and these are hung from 2x6 stud hangers, nailed with pekoe nails. Piece of cake. Have fun. Make sure you get your posts plumb. Your perlions will be spaced either 16" oc up the trusses or 24" oc up the trusses. I always use 16", but many use 24" I always like to over build a little, just in case of some unknown. Good Luck
