Install Garage door within concrete walls
My son-in-law has a three car garage of concrete walls. We would like to install garage doors that were previously used. The issue: Doors are 9ft wide by 7ft high (standard?). Wehave openings that are 9ft-2in. Can we just set 6ft-8in trimmers aganst the concrete opening, bolt them in and put the header on top? We plan to use a 2x6 on the inside to mount the hardware. What should we use for the header?

The bottom of your header has to be a minimum of 7' off the floor. The same height as your garage door. You will have to check with your local building department as to what headers to use. Having a concrete building may make some difference. They may not even require you to have one. Good Luck
