garage door adjustment
#1

I have an old garage door that is a swing only type it jambs up in bottom right side, and it looks like it got twisted or out of alignment and I have not been able to rejust it.
How do you straighten out these old doors so they work properly again. Need help thank you.

willy,
What you will find is that once these are out of shape that trying to get them into the proper shape, it won't last. Age does do this best advise is to purchase a new door.
Diagonal adjustable rods may help or metal placed diagonally if you can get it square. Try that,
Good Luck!

If the door you are describing is a one piece door that swings out from the bottom you most probably have a problem with the hardware. The hardware being the hinge assembly that the springs are attached to. When the door starts rubbing against one side it is a surefire indication that the pivot points are worn. Sorry for the late post, I just found this great site.
