hello, i'm thinking of converting my garage into a personal work space. there are two small garage doors, about 7x8 each. i was thinking of replacing one with a sliding glass door, and probably just framing up the other. the problem is, the concrete under the doors isn't level. from a high point in the center, it pitches down about an inch to either side. both doorways are about the same. now, is there anything i can use to level the surface? someone recommended a self-levelling portland underlayment, but i'm not sure if that would be hard enough to send anchors through. any ideas? thanks, stosh11

Hello, I have a bonus room above my garage, we recently converted it into a bedroom for my son. I had insulation blown into the bays in the ceiling of the garage to insulate it as the ceiling was plastered already. Everything is great in that respect. I want to sheetrock the walls in the garage mainly because there are a lot of wires that I do not want accidently pulled or cut (Alarms, garage door opener, Electrical, intercom etc..). Should I bother insulating the walls before I do it? Since I have the ceiling insulated my sons room has no heating/cooling issues but I can see some advantages to making the garage more airtight because we store a LOT of stuff and I have had some problems with moisture and dampness in there. We currently use it more for storage than anything else, we do not put a car in there. Is there any reason I shoud not? Is it just not done? Is it stupid becuase the door itself isn't "sealed"? Any advice is greatly appreciated. Thanks John
