Just installed a Chamberlain HD screw type garage door opener. However, I can not get the sensor reversing system to work. I've used a level, laser lever, tape measure and spaced the sensors with a 2x4. I've read the manual and checked the faq on the web site. I've also checked the wiring.

Here's the only I can find wrong. The manual states that the sending unit should glow if it's getting power. The recieving unit will flicker if it has power, but no signal. Both of my units are flickering. (I can't check the color - the sending unit is supposed to be orange - as I'm color blind and they both look green.)

Any suggestions?

 

For everyone who looked, it was a defective sending unit. I went to the store and told them it wasn't working and they opened a box for a new one. I hooked up the new sending unit and it works.

Thanks for the feedback. It's true that even new products still can be defective after checking everything else out. It's a pain but glad you got it operating.
