garage

we have double garage doors and we hate them. in order to put my pickup in, i have to close the side mirrors. would it be possible to take out that middle divider and install one large door? or is that a retaining wall?

FIESTAGAL:
Normally there is a header above each individual door. To remove the center support you would need to replace the two smaller headers with one longer/larger header.
If the two doors are 8 foot wide and the center support is 18 inches you would need a 17 to 18 ft. door. If the header is on a load bearing wall it would need to be good size.
I believe getting smaller mirrors for the truck would be a lot easier.
Just my 2 cents.
