pulley for garage door
Problem: garage door not opening. Handyman says the long metal overhead pulley that holds the little wheels is bent. Door will not open at all, it gets partway and starts shrieking. He wants to build a brace to hold the metal pulley up. I wonder about just replacing the whole pulley. Or the whole door??? Thanks for any ideas.

From what you have said, your Handyman seems to know what the problem is. He is there, and we are not. I would let him try his brace first and see what happens. Your other choices are kind of expensive, so go with with the cheap fix first and see where it leads you. You can always go to Plan B later. Good Luck
