Hello, and thank you in advance for any help. I've just discovered old termite damage (nothing recent, thank goodness!) in the sill plate in my garage. I'd like to replace the portion of the sill plate myself. Is there an easy way to do this? 2 x 4's are nailed into the sill plate, and horizontal sheathing is nailed to the 2 x 4's, with cedar shakes nailed to the sheathing. Of course, I'm trying to do this very low-budget, and without taking the shakes off. The area in question (some sheathing and portions of the sill plate is about 3 feet wide, so we're not talking a big job. I have a couple of friends willing to help me, but if someone could steer me correctly to begin with, that'd be great! sk888888:confused:
