Mix and Match Trusses
Hello, I am in process of building a large 40X60 shop. I have a requirement of 12' ceiling height to accomodate a vehicle lift. Is is acceptable to use attic trusses for 40 feet on the 60 foot length to obtain 9 foot foot walls with overhead storage, and then switch to scissor trusses for the remaining 20 feet to utilize the open space to realize a 12 foot height for the lift?

Yes, you can use different trusses as long as they are the same pitch and same length. Make sure your local officials give their blessings first. Good Luck
