leaning garage - rebuilding from inside before tearing down?
We have this 2 car detached garage that is leaning. The structure is "existing non conforming", meaning that if we tear it down we'll never be able to rebuild it the same way again (maybe 1 car only, and not that tall).
We'd like to rebuild the structure from the inside before taking down the old shell, but I want to make sure we do it the safe way. What is the best way to support the old structure until it goes down? I'm thinking steel posts to try to plumb the garage again.
Any advice is much appreciated. Thanks!

duckblue,
Depending on your municipality, what you propose would require a building permit and as you describe, it would not be approved.
If this is leaning and is "old", best advice - build a new one.
Good Luck!
