Prep Garage Floor ? for Epoxy
I have ordered UCoatit epoxy and I need to prep the garage floor.
some questions that I have:
1) There is a couple of oil spots that I need to clean up. What should I use?
2) Also there is another problem is that there is some gluemark on the floor of some sort. Looks like it's S shape put on by a roller, could it be previously someone glued a strip of carpet there? What is the best way to clean it up?
3) The garage is divided by 2 expansion joints. There is this, felt like material in the middle of the groove, what is it, and how do I replace it? I definitely want to pull it out so I can paint the groove properly.
4) Do I need to wear any respiratory mask when using muriatic acid?
5) Is it a good idea to fill the expansion joints up with a filler to get a clean look? I called the UCoatit guys and because it might or might not cause cracking problems they cannot give me a clear advice. The house is 20 years old.
Thanks in advance.

I am not a Moderator in this forum, so I cannot copy your post to the Bricks, Masonary, and Concrete Forum. You might want to post it over there also, the concrete guys can probably help you more.
