Please help... I'm trying to make my two car attached garage into a bedroom for two of my sons. I can not find any links on the web for doing such a project. I know it is possible... I've seen it before!! The cement floor has a long but not wide crack... how do I fill it? The garage doors need to be taken off and made into a wall... how do I make it? The ceiling needs to have finished insulation... is there a special type for ceilings? Is there a website anyone knows of that has step by step instructions for this type of project? Please, please don't say "hire a contractor". As the single mother of 5 children hiring a contractor is simply not an option. I'm pretty handy I just need a little help from my new friends... thanks. hirst22 :)

I have the old style garage door openers that don't have rolling codes. It is a craftsman 1/2hp opener. I purchased the rolling code conversion kits. I installed it and it works great. One problem. Cutting the old internal antenna didn't disable the old one. I can still take the old remote outside and get it to open the door. I took the whole circuit board out and I completely removed the soldered antenna from it. No luck. Any way to disable or reduce the range of the old internal transmitter?
