Sears Opener won't open door completely
I have a 1/2 hp new opener and it closes fine, stops when closed, but only opens about 3/4 of the way. I have turned the up force adjustment all the way clockwise and still can't get door to open ompletely. Any advice? Thanks

My old Sears has up and down limits. I've had the cover off it for so long I don't remember if there accessible thru the cover. It just a couple of long screws as you turn them there will be some type of switch or a contact to trip a switch that will stop the unit.
Just remove the cover and stand on a ladder with your remote. after watching it for three or four cycles you have it figured out which one is for the top limit.
