Genie Garage Door Opener will not raise door

Last night, I returned with my car, and found the garage door would not raise.

I found that if I raise it manually, it would go down, but when it hit the limit switch it would stop, but not reverse. So it will go down, but never raise.

Now, the limit switch looks pretty trivial, and I think it works, but it has a brown wire that goes to the "head".

Is there an easy way to test the limit switch? I assumed it was okay, because it stopped the door. I'm also assuming the logic board inside is bad. But can someone tell me more?

Again, its a Genie, about 8 years old, and yes, I've tried the vacation switch.
