Garage door remote problem

Hi:

I have a Allister Access 3500 garage door opener with Multicode clickers. Recently, I changed a battery for one of the clickers and since then none of the clickers would open the door by itself. By experimenting I found that if I would use both the clickers at the same time (waiting in front of my garage for at least 2-3 mins), ultimately the door would open. I checked the codes and the connections - everything seems fine. I even changed the battery in the other clicker.

Please help.

This sounds like a reciever problem, not a transmitter problem.
Look at the back of the opener, check for corrosion on the three terminals that connect the multicode reciever to the operator.
Also If you bent the reciever upwards in order to check the dip-switches, then there is a good chance that the solder on the back of the reciever board has broken loose and is only making contact at random.
Good luck,

Thanks

Thanks a lot eatatjoz, I'll look at the opener and let you know what happens.
