painting garage in summer heat

I really need to paint my garage in the few days that I have off work, the problem is I hear it's not good to paint in high humidity. What can go wrong if I do and what are my choices to get the job done in this 90+ deg heat and high humidity? There is no relief in sight for the next week.
thanks.

The biggest problem with painting in high humidity is that you will sweat more

As long as you are using latex there shouldn't be any problems. The paint will dry a little slower. Oil base would only be a problem if the surface has obsorbed any moisture.

If you can paint where you are mostly in the shade it will be better for you and the paint. Might want to make a big jug of ice tea

I would rather paint in 90* weather than 40*. Watch how the sun hits your garage. Plan your job so that you paint the sides that get a lot of sun early/late in the day. Paint the shady sides at mid day.

Red face thanks

Thanks marksr and Wayne. With alot of sweat and even more 10 min breaks the painting went well. The ice tea helped alot as the sun chased me around each corner! Thanks again.
