Question Quieter garage door operation

First of all, allow me to lead off by saying that I have FULLY explored this topic. You might not tell me anything I don't already know. But I think I am looking for an EXTREME solution here....

TWO questions.....

1) Are there any manufacturers of RUBBER (not nylon) garage door wheels? (If they can put trains on them, why not garage doors?)

2) If (1) above is 'NO'.....has anyone thought of gluing a thin rubber strip onto the bottom of the track?

Thanks!
Ted

Nylon is the only thing I know of. Gluing rubber to the track may work, but may increase the chance of the rollers falling out. A lot of the noise can come from the door opener it's self. A nice belt drive opener with nylon rollers is darn quiet.

Warped -If you start off by telling people they aren't going to tell you anything you don't already know, they probably won't.

To reduce noise, you isolate the source. Put rubber grommets between all through bolts, and make sure the door is adjusted correctly. Rubber rollers will not work, but nylon ones will help. Most noise is transmitted through the opener and the opener track.

Isolate is the key word.

If you FULLY explored the topic, then you would already have your answers.
