Looking for Shed/Workshop plans

I know this is for garages/carports, but I didn't see a forum for shed/workshops, so I hope it's ok.

What I'm looking for are plans for a 14x24 or 14x26 shed/workshop with a gable roof. Right now, I almost ready to settle or any roof style if I can get the dimensions I want.

If you could point me to a place for such plans, thank you. If not, would you know a reason why the plan size I'm looking for are so hard to find??

Thanks!!

Plans

Why not use plans that are close to the dimensions you want and adjust the dimensions to you specifications?

I Googled "Shed Plans" and found this:

http://www.shedplans.com/spgable272.html

Good luck with your project. Post back and let us know how it came out.

That's just it. Like the site you found, I'm finding the same stuff; which never has plans for a 14x24 or 14x26. I think the 14 ft length is problem.

I'm really wondering why 14ft might cause a problem. Could it be because 14ft isn't a standard board length??

Shed Plans

I agree that the fact that 14 ft. is not a multiple of a 4x8 sheet dimension is probably the reason. Do not let this keep you from building what you want. Modify the plans to suit your needs. Good luck and post back if we can help.

I would think a 14x26 structure is more like a garage than a shed.

Most lumber yards, (& big box stores), will help you develop a list of materials that you would need and give you a plan. They have the software to design a structure, and print out a lumber list.

Just Google

Hi,

I typed: "shed plans 14x24" and got numerous hits like this:

(Unless you're looking for free plans, that may be a little tougher

Wink

whenever i want to build something(shed, carport, garage, deck) i just sketch a picture and make it like I WANT IT. basicly, you are talking garage or small house. 14 fo.(i'm guessing width) is about right if you want an overhang(using 8 ft.mat.-unless you are thinking trusses) in whick case i usually make them myself using plywood gussets.
