12' truss
Hi, I am going to be building sum 12' wood trusses. I've done alot of searching on web but cant find any free plans.
Do any of you know any sites ? Or do you know what kind of webing style I should use. Iam in northeastern MN so there will be a snow load to think about. I will be useing 2x4 constrution.

Trusses are designed by structural engineers. They aren't a do it yourself project. You may want to consider a more traditional stle of constructions if you don't want to hire an engineer.

Its for a shed/garage, 12x18', the roof pitch will be 6-12. In one end there will be a 8x7' over head garage door. trusses will be 2' on center spacing. With 5/8" OSB sheating.

Yes, I did price them. I figured I could build them for less maybe about 50-60% savings. Plus I have alot of shorter 2x4 for the webing already. And have the 3/4" plywood scraps, for the plates.

As others have said, make sure they are designed for your application. Your County Building Department MAY want to see the design, if the shed is big enough to warrant it. At least let your Homeowners Insurance know about it so you will be covered in case of a claim from a strong wind or mishap.
