Craftsman 1/2 hp chain GDO, I don't know where the limit sensors go
Model number 139.53513. I replace the gear drive and now I can not remember where to put the limit sensors. Does anyone know or have a picture of thiers in the up or down position so I know where to place them. I can't seem to get it right and I am nervous when my garage door slams open against the bolts. Mine have a brown, silver, and a yellow wire. Please let me know where they are supposed to go. Thanks

Yellow wire goes to the up contact.
Gray wire goes to the center contact.
Brown wire goes to the down contact.
You can tell which contact is which by looking at the cover.
You just have to adjust the up and down limits to get them right. Every door will be a little bit different. The best way is to adjust them so the door only travels part way and then you can tweak them to get it right. Just remember if you run the motor too much the thermal overload will cut it off and you will have to wait about 15 minutes for it to cool. Post back if you have questions.
