garage door not going up all the way w/opener

we have a genie garage door opener. the opener is pressed and garage door only goes up 2 feet & stops. we press opener
again,it goes down, then we press opener again and door goes up all the way. we have this problem with 2 diferent remotes so we know it is not the remotes or the cold weather. any idea what is the problem?

Yes it is the cold weather.You need to turn the force setting up more,due to the grease in the motor and on the rail gets harder when it is cold so there for u need more force to run the opener when it is cold

Looking to built an over sized gambrel garage with finished upstairs.I believe the standard was 24 dollars a square foot.Am I in the ballpark?
