BENT garage door at top

hi im new and hope im posting right the garage door came down on my wife van and didnt stop creating it to buckle at the top and alittle in the middle can i replace the aluminum part across the top or do i need a new door

If the panel itself is bent, you can get a new panel relatively cheaply. If it's just a strut or brace where the opener was attached, that can normally be replaced separately. Pictures would help. One far enough back to see the overall door and one close enough to see the damage.

You also need to readjust the opener so this does not happen again.
On the back of the opener there's two adjustments, one for open and one for close.
I lay a piece of 2 X 4 where the door comes down. It should hit it and start right back up.

Your operator may be mounted too high. When the door is open the rail should not be more than 2 inch above the top of the door. But you also must adjust the force like Joe said.
