Remotes won't work

Our garage door opener works perfectly well (in both directions) when using the wall activator. The remotes, however, do not work. It is not a problem with the batteries in the remotes. We have replaced them, and the remotes still don't work. Any ideas? Thanks very much.

Only two things could be wrong. Either your antenna has broken off your opener, or your remote opener card in your opener has burnt out. The cards usaully cannot be replaced.

Jack is correct. Depending on how old your opener is(worth vs. cost) you can purchase an external reciever for your opener, and if you have certian models you will not need to buy new remotes. Two options are sears and a door dealer that might have some new ones or a salvageable circuit board for your opener.
