Hi,
One of my Torsion springs is broken so I have ordered two for replacement. I measured the torsion springs as follows: 2.5" X 23.5" X .225.
I got the following when I placed an online order:
3" X 24" X .225
First Question: Is this a major issue? Or do I need to send them back?
Second Question: I was not able to slide the torsion springs (both) off the horizontal shaft for a simple reason. The spot where the torsion spring screws were secured created a bump in the shaft. Is there a trick to force the springs out? or do I need to buy a new one?
Thanks for your reply

First, i don't recommend you replace your own torsion springs, they are very dangerous and can cause serious injury or death. That said your new spring being 3 inch ID should only be 20 inches in length, so no it will not work because it will not balance properly. As for the tube just file down the high spots to allow the spring plug to pass over it.
