Genie Intellicode ll model ISD 1000 garage door opener.

I have a Genie Intellicode ll model ISD 1000 garage door opener.

My problem is that when I press the wall console button to open the door, I hear a click, and that is it. The vacation lock is in the unlocked position. I've disengaged the carriage and tried to open the door and nothing happened. The opener worked for maybe three years, then one day it stopped.

I checked the STB system and have one green and one red light. The door appears to be balanced. All wires appear tight. The outside key pad and car remote do not open the door either. In order to hear the click again, I have to unplug the power to the opener, wait a few seconds, and plug it back in.

Any help would be welcome,

Thanks

If you have your manual, try re-doing the force and limits programming on the power head. If that fails to correct the problem, you probably need to replace the control board.

If you cannot find your manual, you can download one from Genie's web site.

See what the status light is doing, and check the troubleshooting guide in the manual.
