Question

Hello,

I am in the process of converting my 2.5 car garage into an open family room. Since the concrete floor is sloped I need to build a subfloor using pressure treated joists. My question is; what is the best way to insulate between the concrete and the floor? Can I install the insulation directly on the concrete? Any suggestions? I would appreciate any and all suggestions.

Thank you,
Rudy

First, check with your local bldg. dept. and see if they will allow you to convert the garage to living space without having another garage constructed first. Once you have all of THOSE ducks in a row, get back to us, and we can help you proceed.
