Buckling garage door, can I add more struts?
A couple of years ago my wife backed into the garage door. the panels were bent a bit but not much and every thing seemed to work the same. In the past week, I have noticed that the bends have turned into small tears and when the garage door goes up, gravity causes that portion to buckle. When going back down, the "unbuckling" causes the whole door and tracks to shake at that moment. I would like to avoid replacing the door buy adding struts to the section that is buckling. Is there any reason that this wouldn't fix the problem? It has struts on the top and bottom sections, is there any reason why I couldn't add a strut to one of the middle sections?

You should be able to strengthen the door, as you propose. You may also be able to replace the bad section, If you can find a local door company that will sell it to you.
As you add weight to the door, you may have to adjust the spring tension to keep the door balanced.
