Building Truss for Pole Barn

I'm trying to build a clear span pole barn that has poles on both ends to support the truss with no support column in the middle (see Pic #2 on RV NOW: Do It Yourself RV Storage Requires Some Carpentry Skill). The roof will be OSB boards with asphalt shingles on top. The length of the bottom chord on the truss needs to be 30 feet long. If I use 2x4, can I make the bottom chord that long or do I need to use longer longer pieces to wood to make the bottom chord. Thanks for any help and/or comments.

Why would you not just buy prebuilt trusses?
You may think your going to save money by building your own but I would have to assume if your asking this question you have no idea how to engineer one to meet code and not sag.
When you add in time and materials prebuilt comes out cheaper and a whole lot faster.

Trusses

I agree that you should use pre-built trusses. 30 ft is a long span.
