Garage door replacement problem

I replaced my wood garage door with an Ideal brand metal door. I followed the instructions to the tee, but when I tried to open my door the cables became tangled up on the roller drums, causing door to become crooked. I'm thinking my tracks may be out of plumb somehow, although I measured everything as suggested in the manual. I can't think of any other reason for this, any ideas?

How did you roll the cables? Did you tighten them? Very dangerous thing to do on a DIY basis.

Are the drums on the right ends? I've installed a few doors and tangled on the drums sounds like either drums installed wrong or no tension. Does your's have the EZ Set torsion springs?

Thanks for the reply, yes the drums are correct, I determined that my track was too close to the wall, causing the door to bind. I do have the EZ torsion springs, and once I adjusted the track out the door opens and closes perfectly.

Well, I figured out the issue was in the track placement, however after watching the video that came with the door, I saw that I rolled the cable the wrong way. I fixed it and it works great. Thanks!
