Are there replacement windows for garage doors?

My garage door is probably about 14 years old. It has 7 rectangular windows in the top panel. It looks like a plastic window held in place by a frame that is screwed into the panel.

I would like the idea to change to frosted panels and possibly get some more insulation.

Are there replacement windows? Or snap-in add-ons?

I've never worked on garage doors other than painting them and unless I'm mistaken every garage door with windows that I've painted had single pane glass. The few that had cracked glass that I had to replace we just measured and had a sheet of glass cut to fit.

Is your garage door metal or wood construction?

Depends on the brand...but most manufacturers offer multiple options for replacement windows and snap in decorative inserts. Any glass shop could also help you out if you take an example to them. They need the exact size and thickness.

You can buy frosted window film, whole lot easier then messing with the windows.
