I'm not certain (I'm not a door guy), but I suspect they're all the same.

You more than likely need the Chamberlain ones. They run from $29-$35.

Sears/chamberlain garage door sensors

I know defective or out of alignment sensors will keep the door from closing. I'm not sure if they'll affect the upwards travel. Defective sensors won't make the door open by itself if that's your problem.

I am installing 2 sensors today.one rattles when you skake it. The lense has some good size spots that won't clean up. Its the "sending eye"Iwill say this the door........just does everything but what its supposed to do on and off blinking light on main box, il'll come back and let you all know what happens, These "door openers' were installed in 1993 ,never a problem. thanks bob s

Well it wasn't the sensors ! Now the gal says; its most likely "jammed" because as i describe it to her.The motor buzzes, then it shuts off in 2 seconds maybe .They want $88.00 first{house call] then a dollar a minute, for every minute after that, Thats robbery to me My family DR don't charge that high! being "jammed"? the door ,pull rope carrier-- that hangs down isn't jammed. it moves freely ,when i shut the door manually. has anybody any suggestions ?/// thanks for looking bob s
