overhead-to-jackshaft motor swap out?
#1

I have an overhead garage door opener and wanted to know if it would be something (down the road) that I could change to the jackshaft opener.
I have a Wayne Dalton door and Liftmaster motor. Here's an image of the side of the spring where I believe the jackshaft would connect. is this something that I could just mount the motor to? Any other thoughts, concerns?
Thanks!

No.. that shaft does not turn when the door goes up and down. It is there to tension the springs inside that tube. You will need to convert your door to a traditional torsion spring system
