Genie Excelerator Won't Respond

Garage door opener. Overhead light works, sensor lights show aligned, status light blinks 1x green. Unplug/replug, then pushing open/close button results in overhead light flashing on/off and click. Subsequent pushes do nothing unless I unplug/replug. Tried resetting limits, same results. Worked as recently as a few hours ago. Any ideas?? Thanks in advance!

So after playing around with it... the motor is not running at all... correct ?

A one flash repeating trouble code is a motor drive board interrupt. Some possible problems.... bad motor, loose or broken ribbon cable on motor drive board, fuse on motor drive board blown.

You need to check the operation of the door without the opener connected. Excessive lifting weight can be a problem.

Thank you for your feedback!

Correct, motor is not running at all. Door moves smoothly when pulled manually, and seems balanced. I made sure the ribbon cable was firmly seated, but I don't have enough know-how to check much else on the board. I could replace the board for about $70, which *might* fix it, but I'm thinking spending $130 to replace the whole thing might be a better investment.
