Angry Liftmaster 3800

I installed my Liftmaster 3800 jackshaft opener about 6 years ago and it had worked perfectly until about 3 weeks ago, when it developed memory problems, phantom openings etc.
I suspected one of the two remotes (model 373 with the fancy blue proximity lights) which came with the opener originally and bought a replacement (basic 371 LM). Problem continued, and all 3 remotes had fresh batteries, so I bought a new circuit board. Problem continued.
On the advice of the circuit board supplier, I cleared all memory codes and reprogrammed the remotes one by one. The 371 remotes both worked perfectly, as did the outdoor keypad, but the 373 caused the problem to re-appear.
Seems that when a remote goes bad, it does not play nice with the others, hence the problem.
Had I known about this from the get go, I could have saved $130 on the circuit board, (which is non returnable).
Hope this helps others. A really simple 5 minute fix. Another lesson learned, too late as usual!
