20 year old Craftsman door opener quit

Its A craftsman --1/2 opener. I am not sure what i should buy now as far brand far as hp.1/2 did fine, all those years>?What do you think? thanks much for tips bob s

let me know soon ........she has to use it everyday to go to work and thanks

Switched from Craftsman chain to Genie screw drive, never going back.

IMO Craftsman are good except for the real new ones, they switched from Chamberlian and are now made in china... Stay away from the new Rayobi,My favorite is a Liftmaster belt drive with WiFi and battery backup .

Whatever you get make sure it's belt drive, they are fantastic!!

Ihad just purchased the Craftsman . I read this reply to late , drove 60 miles to return it.And glad I did Craftsman name went down the tube over the years in door openers. I need one with the or i should say i need just the motor, My T-rail is good.Man glad you guys go to me on this So

The screw drive as you say, Is it quiet as compared to chain drive.Never seen one before. bob s

I have 2 Chamberlin belt drive openers.

If I recall the units from non big box stores had one piece rails vs multi pieces.
