Garage door carriage trolley replacement

I have a 30+ year old Solid State "SAFE GUARD"1/3 hp garage door opener. It works great. The carriage trolley finally snapped and busted in half after 30 years. It's a screw drive 1 piece rail system. I can't find anyone with a replacement carriage trolley assembly. My questions are: Can I replace the entire Carriage/ Trolley assembly with another brand? Are all screw shaft threads the same? Is there a way to measure the threads on a shaft to compare? Thanks ahead of time for anyone with a positive idea.

You can't replace it with a part from another manufacturer. Perhaps a pic would help id who made it.

After 30 years of good service, I think your due to buy a new unit. It's probably not worth the time and hassle to try and repair it. Besides new units have all kinds of bells and whistles you can use if you're in to that kind of thing.
