Genie 2035 safety issue

my opener works up and down wall switch and remotes, but the safety features are the problem. The door will not reverse when closing on an object and the safety beam works opposite of what it should. While opening the door, if I obstruct the safety beam, the door reverses and closes, just the opposite of what it should do. Help please.

Nothing mounted backwards, this was a simple replacement of the power head, same rails, trolley, chain, only changes were the power headend the safety beams that came with it. Everything works good except the safety features. The safety beam works opposite what it should, break the beam while raising the door and the door shuts, plus the door will not reverse with 2x4 placed under it. Thank You.

Welcome to the forums.

I agree...... something is installed incorrectly. A blockage sensor cannot work backwards.
You door opener is working opposite.

How-to-insert-pictures.

This is a chain drive ?
You have to flip the chain over. The trolley is moving in the opposite direction.

Check the trolley, if the chain was originally mounted on the left side and the new opener requires it to be mounted on the right side... it will work backwards

Thank You all for your replies, you were correct, I had the chain and trolley on backwards, all fixed now, working safely. Thank You again.
