Service door threshold rotting

Attached are photos of the rotting area of the threshold. In addition the threshold rocks back & forth if you stand on it just so. Iím thinking cutting out the rotting wood
& replace & replace the threshold, flashing & trim. Maybe screwing threshold down more to prevent movement? What do you think? Thanks.

I'd suggest you look into just getting a new prehung door. You can get a cheap one on sale for around $100. Your sill is fastened to the jambs so once you remove the sill the jambs will be very weak and want to move around unless you secure them to the studs on either side.

A sill will cost you around $30, plus construction adhesive. And if the jambs are rotten on the ends, there is no good fix other than pumping it full of construction adhesive, which won't stick to wet rotten wood.
