Question Cleaning old concrete garage floor

Skip the power-washing Rx because this is inside the garage and I don't want to get everything wet.

What products might work to clean this 35-year old floor that has embedded pet residues, oil drops from my Model T, paint, and who knows what else deposited and diffused into the concrete? Detergents have had a scant effect. How about a lye solution? TSP? A muriatic acid wash seems a little drastic, but how about that none the less? The floor is in great shape with a smoothly troweled surface and no cracks.

Dont skip the power washer, add a plate/surface cleaner and skip all the chemicals!

Muratic acid won't have any effect on paint. I don't remember the brand name but I bought a degreaser at Lowes years ago that was fairly effective. IMO it would be best to empty the garage and use a pressure washer.

You would only do a Muriatic acid wash as a last step right before epoxying or painting the floor. If just trying to get it clean do not do it as it eats away the cement. Great for paint adhesion but it makes the floor rougher and any new dirt will be really hard to clean.

The trick with a power washer is not use the thin high powered setting. Use a spreader type or fan setting and do not get too close.
