Garage door opener does not work at night
Have had this issue a while now. Once it gets dark the garage door opener does not work from very far. I have changed out garage door openers and still have the issue at night. I have to get out of the car and get almost all the way against the garage door for the remote to work. Again this is only at night. Works fine during the day. Garage has no windows so nothing coming in from outside. Any ideas are most welcome!!

You mean you changed the garage door remote. How long has this been happening? During the day how far away can you and still use the remote?
Is there any chance that the power to the opener is being shut off at night?

I changed garage door remotes, batteries as well. Reset the garage door as well to separate frequencies. No power issues at all. Works find during the day but once it starts to get dark. I have to get out of the car and walk up to the garage door and hit the button sometimes several times then it will finally open. I would say at night I am about 5-7feet from the actual door. During the day can be 20+feet away and it will work.

Welcome to the forums.
Make sure there are no LED bulbs near the receiver unit.
The driver circuit in LED bulbs is very noisy and can mask the remote signal.
Try turning off any in the house too to find the problem one.

There is a thread below full of a lot of ideas.
I feel it's some type of Rf interference but can be hard to diagnose and locate.

Garage Door wont open at night
I read thru all the posts and replies, and it sure is a puzzle. The only thing I didn't hear that might have been tried is using the remotes nowhere near the car. Probably a really long shot, but my new car has enough electronics in it to make Tesla jealous. My remotes all act better when not in cars. At night, the car lights are usually on when you are approaching or leaving. Just sayin....

I'll try those and see what happens. Its not just "when its dark" as in the morning when I leave before the sun comes up it opens and closes fine. However at night up to midnight (haven't checked any later) it has this issue

I have the same issue but I found what lights were causing my openers not to work at night. I have some low voltage Malibu landscape garden lights that go on at dusk and a few months ago I replaced the spot lights with LED bulbs. I just went around the whole house turning off all lights but then noticed that the garden lights were on. I went outside and shut them off at the transformer and now the doors work. All openers work. Turn the garden lights back on and they don't work.

Welcome to the forums.
Thanks for the additional information. Certainly something to check if you have a night time issue.
