Garage floor ...

We have a new home. I want to pain the garage floor. Currently we have snow stains etc. on the floor. A visit to home depot just confused me more on what I need to do as prep work, what paint to use and what tools I need. Can someone guide me thru the process ? Thank you.

I would use concrete stain. Looks like paint, acts like paint, easy to apply, comes in several colors, and won't chip off like paint.
