will new chamberlain fit exact brackets of old one?
2013 old opener has 2 lights and they are perpendicular to how the brackets run (model lw500ev)

2022 model has single light parallel to the brackets and is facing the door B2212T. im hoping turning the unit sideways doesnt affect bracket dimensions

i dont want to have to mess with bracket locations so hope it's the exact same setup. also i want to use the same trolley bar. the 2013 unit was just installed last month (yes you read that correctly). so i see no need to replace it and was hoping to keep the trolley in place

Last year I replaced my 2007 belt drive with a 2021 belt drive and all the brackets on the door ,on the header, and attachments to the ceiling were exactly the same.
Are you asking if the opener itself can be turned 90 degrees to get the lights in the same orientation and still function?
That would be negative! How the bar attaches, how the pullies align with the belt, not going to work!

You should not have any problems. You might need to add an angle bar or two to brace it.
I would also replace the track/trolly bar. It's always a good to keep items matched to the same unit. It could affect warranty.
Same question as asked by Marq about the 90° turn?

he already put an extra angle bar in that i didnt have before. i was worried new unit wouldnt have same bracket spacing and dont care the orientation of the lights.
the installer of my new door today said the code 15 could be the board. manual says probably travel module but he said doesnt have one on the truck and not back at the shop. contrary to what the boss told me a week ago on the phone. so he said save 450 over his price and buy new one.
thing is my right shoulder was injured when i tried playing with garage springs so it's really not gonna be fun
