Liftmaster garage door opener

Just purchased a house and I have two LiftMaster garage door openers.
Both of the units open via the remote but closing the doors you need to hold down the interior button.
I see the sensor eyes lights are not on so I replaced the sensor eyes and wiring but still no light on sensor eyes.
Could both units not emit some current to those sensors? I find it odd both doing same thing.
If I'm missing something please feel free to school me. I'll get up there today with a voltmeter

Are you sure the wiring is all OK at the opener head? The manual says the door control should be connected to terminals 1 and 2. Maybe it is OK - I do need new glasses for sure.

YES the door bell control is on 1 and 2.
The eye sensors are setup on 2 and 3.

That opener calls for the 41A4373ATS safety eye kit.
Many newer operators are requiring dedicated safety eyes to operate properly.

They eye sensors are polarity sensitive, make sure black wires are to terminal 3 and white wires are to terminal 2 and that they are wired in parallel and not in series.
Also those wires to your circuit board don't appear to be new wires as you stated, and the Force settings on that circuit board should never have to be set that high to Max.

Thanks Doorman... will that LiftMaster model only work with specific eye sensors ( 41A4373ATS) as Ive tried hooking up other chamberlain sensors to test it and no luck. (from model Model # B4505TC)
The picture was taken before trying new sensors with the old wires

Any Liftmaster/Chaimberlian eye sensors will work with it, chances are then your circuit board is faulty.

I know that picture is not up to date, but it sure looks like the door control was not set up properly. 1 and 3 instead of 1 and 2. What am I missing ? (just bugging me, I get like that - lol)

It looks to be incorrect, the wall button should be to the #1 and #2 terminals, that too is polarity sensitive but will still function if wires get reversed (but the LED in the wall control will not illuminate)

These are 2007 units.
I didn't think they used polarized connections back then.
That's why I suggested the older sensors.

Looking at that picture again, you can clearly see a black wire on terminal #2, that is incorrect. Look at the color on each terminal, Red 1, White 2 and 3 Black, they are color coded for use with original Liftmaster supplied wire. There should be (1) red wire on #1, (3) white wires on #2 and (2)black wires on #3
