Garage Door Bottom Seal

Trying to replace the garage door bottom seal.

Useing a vinyl seal and it is too difficult to pull through the aluminum channels. It is at halfway now and can't pull anymore.

Will a rubber seal be easier ?

If not, will replacing the channel make it easier ?

you might try using liquid soap as a lubricant. Are the edges of the channel bent?

Did you clean the aluminum channel first? Lube it with dish soap or silicone spray?

Used silicon spray , but looks like the T of the seal is slightly bigger than the gap in channel

If you got it halfway, it isn't too big.

The stripping changes shape and size as you pull on it. I often can only pull the strip in part way. Then I go to the other end and shove/push the strip in. Then after you pushed in from the end move in a couple feet and grab and shove the strip an keep working down the door.

It usually helps to have someone help you feed it in. If you don't, it catches as you pull. I usually use a 3" hand seamer to pull.
